Know who your customers are, and where.

Keep prospective customers apart from real ones, and let the right people decide when a prospect becomes a customer. The same record carries its history all the way through, and every address can be pinned on a map.

What you can do

  • Prospective customers and customers are separate lists; anyone can add a prospect, and a lead can be made into one
  • Ask for a prospect to become a customer: managers up the reporting line approve or decline (a decline needs a reason), and everyone involved is emailed
  • Converting keeps the same record, so history, links, files, tasks and owner all stay
  • Addresses are entered as street, suburb, city, province, postal code and country, with a Find on map check before you save
  • A map of customers (solid pins) and prospects (rings), coloured by owner, showing only the records you are allowed to see
  • Each customer has a Documents tab; a document can be company-wide or tied to one customer

Good to know

  • Only managers, Senior Management and CRM Administrators create customers or change their status.
  • The map uses free OpenStreetMap lookups, one address at a time. An address it can't find is listed so you can correct it.
